Come rain or shine, this couple was blessed with a wedding day to remember.

Roanoke College grad Kayla wasn’t sure what to make of Jonathan when they first met. After he joined the kickball league she started with her best friend, Jonathan quickly set himself apart, and the two began bonding over kickball and bible study. Their friends knew they were a match made in heaven, it just took a Fourth of July trip gone awry for them to see it themselves. During a romantic after-dinner stroll through a park in downtown Roanoke, Jonathan proposed under twinkling string lights.

They planned a sweet wedding day filled with sunflowers, DIY country-chic decor, and dancing. Despite a 90% chance of rain on the day, Kayla’s prayers for an outdoor ceremony were answered. While the surrounding area was drenched in rain, the downpour held off at Sinkland Farms until their “I do’s” were done. Meeting Jonathan on the shores of Tuscan Pond was Kayla’s favorite part of the day, and she could feel the heavens smiling on their partnership and commitment to one another.
